Profhilo is a bio-remodelling treatment made from some of the purest hyaluronic acid available — 64mg in a single 2ml syringe, combining a high-molecular-weight fraction that supports firmness with a low-molecular-weight fraction that hydrates deeply. Rather than sitting where it is placed like a filler, it spreads evenly under the skin and stimulates the production of collagen and elastin.
It is delivered through a small number of injections at defined points — usually five on each side of the face (the Bio Aesthetic Points), or a mapped pattern on the neck, décolletage or hands. The standard course is two sessions one month apart, with a maintenance session around every six months.
Skin boosters more broadly can also use mesotherapy-style blends of hyaluronic acid, vitamins and antioxidants for a similar goal. Downtime is minimal — small raised bumps at the injection points typically settle within 24 to 72 hours.

The science
Why it works
Hyaluronic acid is a natural component of skin that binds water and supports the structures around cells. Concentrated, ultra-pure hyaluronic acid spread evenly through the skin acts as a signal to fibroblasts — the cells that build collagen, elastin and more hyaluronic acid — prompting a gradual remodelling of the skin's support network. That is why the full result takes weeks to appear and why it improves skin quality rather than adding volume.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
What is Profhilo?
An injectable treatment made from ultra-pure hyaluronic acid. It works as a bio-remodeller — improving hydration, firmness and skin quality by stimulating collagen and elastin, rather than adding volume like a filler.
Is Profhilo a dermal filler?
No. It is injected like a filler, but it spreads evenly beneath the skin to improve its quality and does not change facial shape or volume.
How much does Profhilo cost?
From £399 for a single session, or from £749 for a starting course of two sessions one month apart, plus a £40 consultation fee credited toward your treatment if you book within a week.
How many sessions will I need?
A starting course of two sessions one month apart, then a maintenance session around every six months.
When will I see results?
Improved hydration and texture appear within days. The full effect — firmer, smoother skin — develops around four to six weeks after the second session.
How long do results last?
Around six to nine months. Maintenance sessions keep the improvement consistent.
Is there any downtime?
Very little. Small raised bumps at the injection points are normal and usually settle within 24 to 72 hours.
Which areas can be treated?
The face, neck, décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen — anywhere the skin has lost hydration, firmness or smoothness.
How does Profhilo compare to polynucleotides?
Polynucleotides focus on repair and regeneration, and suit concerns like under-eye quality or scarring. Profhilo focuses on hydration and firmness across a wider area. Dr Maral will advise which fits your skin.
Am I suitable?
Most adults over 18 noticing early signs of ageing, dullness or loss of firmness. It is postponed during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or with an active infection near the area.
Results vary by individual; suitability confirmed at consultation.
