Dermal Fillers vs Skin Boosters: What's the Difference?
They're both injectable hyaluronic acid — but they do very different jobs. One changes shape, the other changes skin quality.

Dermal fillers add volume and shape to specific areas like cheeks or lips. Skin boosters, by contrast, improve overall skin hydration, texture, and glow — they don't add volume or change shape. The two are often confused because both use hyaluronic acid, but they solve different problems.
Dermal fillers: for volume and contour
Best suited if your main concern is lost volume (e.g. flatter cheeks) or you want to subtly reshape an area like the lips or jawline. Results are immediately visible.
Skin boosters: for skin quality
Best suited if your skin feels dry, tired, or lacks glow, but your face shape and volume are already how you want them. Results build gradually over the following weeks rather than appearing instantly.
Can you have both?
Yes — many clients combine both over time as part of an ongoing skin plan, though this is discussed and planned individually rather than assumed.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Do skin boosters make lips bigger?
No — that's what fillers do. Skin boosters improve hydration and quality, not volume.
Which lasts longer?
Fillers generally last longer (6–18 months) than skin boosters, which typically need repeat sessions to maintain results.
