What Is Profhilo? The Skin Booster We Use at London Skin Bar

Profhilo is an injectable treatment using ultra-pure hyaluronic acid to deeply hydrate skin and stimulate the body's own collagen and elastin production. At London Skin Bar, Profhilo is the product behind our Skin Booster treatment — the two names refer to the same service.

How it's different from a filler

Profhilo doesn't add volume or change shape the way a dermal filler does. Instead it spreads through the skin to improve hydration, elasticity, and overall texture — the goal is better-quality skin, not a different face shape.

How it works

Once injected, Profhilo slowly releases hyaluronic acid through the surrounding tissue, drawing in moisture and encouraging the skin's own collagen and elastin production over the following weeks.

What a typical course looks like

A course of two sessions, spaced around four weeks apart, is commonly recommended as a starting point, with results building gradually over that time rather than appearing instantly.

Who tends to consider it

People noticing their skin feels less hydrated or resilient than it used to, without necessarily wanting to change volume or shape — often alongside, rather than instead of, a good skincare routine.
